About Dr Raeburn Forbes MD(Hons) FRCP Ed FRCP Lond
Dr Forbes trained in Medicine at the University of Dundee Medical School, graduating MBChB (1992) and MD(Honours) in 2000.
He completed specialist training in Neurology in July 2003 and hold a Certificate of Completion of Specialist Training in Adult Neurology with The General Medical Council (GMC Registration No 3687413).
He has worked as a Consultant Neurologist in Craigavon Area Hospital since March 2004.
He is a member of the following Medical Organisations:
The Association of British Neurologists, Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh and London, British Association for the Study of Headache, The International Headache Society and The American Headache Society.
Dr Forbes served on the board of The Irish Institute for Clinical Neuroscience until 2021 and serves on the Association of British Neurologist’s Standards and Services Committee.
His research interests include headache disorders, specifically thunderclap headache, Chronic Migraine and health service research relating to management of acute neurological illness.
